The Energy Harvesting Promise: Where Are We?
NiPS laboratory, Dipartimento di Fisica, Università di Perugia, Italy
Energy harvesting technologies have represented an active research field for more than two decades now. Nevertheless, effective realisations are still modest in number and limited in the field of application. Why is that? In this talk we will briefly review some of the fundamental aspects in energy harvesting with the aim of identifying the physical limits and indicating new, interesting, opportunities for the further development of this technology.
